The trial version of the Stand Alone Security Suite CD has differences from the full version. Most firewalls are adaptive in nature. This means that after a program tries to access the internet, this program usually will not trigger the firewall more than one or two times. This can be a problem when you are testing the firewall because you will have to have a differently named and differently working program each time you test a firewall. The trial version of the stand alone CD uses a rotation of 50 programs where the full version of the stand alone CD uses a rotation of 1000 programs for each type of firewall test. When using the trial version, most firewall's will adapt to the AV Eagle program after about 20 attempts, where as the full version, it will take about 500 attempts before each computer will adapt. If you were to vigilantly test the firewall on a computer every week, the full CD would not be adapted to for almost 10 years, much longer than the effective life span of any firewall software.
